Slow Cooker, Crock Pot Indian Spiced Stew. If you LOVE Indian Cuisine, you will LOVE this recipe! The chicken is so tender and the spices make this a very flavorful Indian Stew. (If you don't like Indian food, skip this recipe! If you are unsure and adventuresome -- try it!)
INGREDIENTS
- 3 large chicken breasts, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, pressed or chopped
- 1 Tbsp grated ginger
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 - 3/4 tsp cayennne pepper
- 3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 3/4 cup tomato purée
- 3 potatoes, sliced
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Put the above ingredients into the slow cooker, except the cream, and stir.
Cook 4-5 hours on high. Add the cream in the last 15 minutes.
